'Welcome back' speech?

Hello everyone,

It's already a year I didn't post anything in this blog. I kind of miss this but oh well, I am way busy as I, myself has expected.

There's so much events happened previous years (2017-2018). Such events were:

  1. Graduation.
  2. Job
  3. Love
  4. Travel
1. Graduation (2017)

Yes. I already graduated last year! Time surely flies so fast. Before I typed this entry, I read back all those previous post. Post about those orientation and clinical placement that I have went through. But seriously, three years had passed.

2. Job (2017)

Accepted in one of the specialist hospital here in Brunei just before the graduation ceremony. Yes, it was only like two weeks after our final examination? Yeah. Can't even believe it because only shortlisted that were being offered.

3. Love (2018)

Love life? hehehehe.  Well, this guy actually my boy-crush during primary school! eh? you don't believe it? yes, it's true. I knew him since I was in year 5 in primary school and he's in year 6. I, myself can't believe I have finally found him after for 12 years? since 2006 until 2018. omg!

I found his IG in my sister's followers list. Then, with my-not-so-shy-and-ashamed-attitude just send a following-request to his IG. Luckily he accepted it and send the same request to me!!! from then, we texted through DM only. well, i texted him first! hahahaha.

omg! there's so much story between us. and actually he is very picky. like, i will never be in the list. but after the first meeting, he kept on updating me where he was, with who and so on and on, not until we realised that actually we already a couple? yes. we don't even have a specific date for our monthsary or anniversary thingy.

and believe it or not? we are already on that step that already having plan to get engaged and married. awwww... i love him so much. hehehehe. LOVE YOU, MI!

4. Travel

Yes. It was my first airplane travel and it was with mama. We went to KL. We went for shopping, visiting some places and the most importantly, taking lots and lots and lots of pictures!

The second travel I went for KL again but this time with MI's family. Yes, they brought me along. hehehhe.

After back from KL, I went to KK, Sabah with my family. We had fun there. IMAGO shopping mall is huge you know. Didn't expect it to be that famous as before the infamous one is like Oneborneo and so on.

Okay, for now, those above sums up my 2017-2018 years. Cheers to this 2019's journey.

Love,
        D.

Clinical Placement D4

Day 4 : 19 th May 2016 My colleague (Fatin) and I listened and involved in the passing report. So we only had one patient which was admitted in the afternoon of 18 th May 2016. This patient has Supra Ventricular Tachycardia (SVT). The SVT is an abnormally fast heart rate of more than 60 beats per minute. This patient has around 115 beats per minute. So during the doctors' round, the patient has questions and answers session with the doctors. The doctors explained to him what should be done to reduce the heart rate per minute. The doctor gave opinion of first, taking medicine and see the outcomes and if the medicine do not show any positive outcomes, operation would be the ones. Then the patient asked where should the surgery be done. So the doctor said most patients were going to Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) or to Singapore. The doctor informed the patient that it would cost around BND 40K per surgery. It really shocking tho, the price. Huhu... Around ...

Clinical Placement D3

Day 3 : 18 th  May 2016 My colleagues and I were managed to listen to the passing report from night duty staff nurses. So there are only 3 patients in total. One patient to transfer out to the medical ward. Whereby one patient to have a CT Scan (Computerized Tomography Scan) to RIPASH as the CT scan machine in SSBH is still under maintenance. So we have to prepare the transport system (ambulance), the sending off forms, the items that are required in case of emergency such as the Automated External Defibrillators (AED), the oxygen tank. The patient is ready sitting on the wheelchair. Then we went to the ground floor as the ambulance was awaiting us. After sending off the patient, we went back to the unit and we had a long briefing on the drugs names and its indication with the Sister. He surely has a lot of knowledge on the medications'   indication. We surely learned a lot. The drugs that we discussed are mostly and commonly used in the ICU. Oh yeah, the Sister s...

Clinical Placement

Day 1 : 16 th May 2016 Today is the first day of our 7 th rotation of Clinical Placement. So this rotation, I was assigned in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Suri Seri Begawan Hospital (SSBH) in Belait District. There are four of us assigned in this unit. I was a bit nervous because this is the first time we were located in different hospitals among our colleagues. Some at Tutong Hospital, Renal Centre in Kiaraong and Rimba, and others are at RIPAS Hospital. The staffs are very welcoming us in the unit and do a short briefing/orientation around the unit itself. Then we were called by the Matron and Sisters to meet them for the first time. They gave us briefing and a short welcoming speech. Then we had a 'hospital-round' to familiarize with the hospital setting or layout. We even went to the Medical and Surgical wards as well as the Obstretic and Gynaecology ward. Briefing from the Sister regarding the ICU settings. The roles of the staffs in the ICU T...
