Pre-University Graduation!

I supposed to post this like three months ago. Never mind. A-late-post again. Hehe..

Finally, we had our Pre-University Graduation night on the 25th January 2014. We wore blue baju kurung and grey tudong for girls, and blue MIB shirt and black slack for boys. Everyone looks bright! :D

The event took four hours. Our family were invited to watch the certificates' giving. The event held in Indera Samudera Hall at the Empire Hotel & Country Club Jerudong, Brunei Darussalam.

At first, we(the graduates) came into the hall by walking synchronisely on a red carpet provided and straight to the stage. We began to sing our national anthem, Allah Peliharakan Sultan. Then the muslims recite the beginning prayer/doa.

The principal, guest of honour and our student president presented their speech. Then proceed with the certs giving. It went all along from Pre-U2 B-E-T-R-U-L-Y-C-H-A-M-P-I-O-N to S.

Pretty much of classes, right? phewww...

Then the audio visuals were played to be seen by everyone. Proceed with poem recital.

Finally.. we went to the stage again because we had to sing our school song and... OST Tarzan You'll Be In My Heart.

After all those things, we took a picture for our own memory. It's very sad and mixed feelings overwhelmed.

Hope our friendship will last longer and forever. :) <3 5H girls

Clinical Placement D4

Day 4 : 19 th May 2016 My colleague (Fatin) and I listened and involved in the passing report. So we only had one patient which was admitted in the afternoon of 18 th May 2016. This patient has Supra Ventricular Tachycardia (SVT). The SVT is an abnormally fast heart rate of more than 60 beats per minute. This patient has around 115 beats per minute. So during the doctors' round, the patient has questions and answers session with the doctors. The doctors explained to him what should be done to reduce the heart rate per minute. The doctor gave opinion of first, taking medicine and see the outcomes and if the medicine do not show any positive outcomes, operation would be the ones. Then the patient asked where should the surgery be done. So the doctor said most patients were going to Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) or to Singapore. The doctor informed the patient that it would cost around BND 40K per surgery. It really shocking tho, the price. Huhu... Around ...

Clinical Placement D3

Day 3 : 18 th  May 2016 My colleagues and I were managed to listen to the passing report from night duty staff nurses. So there are only 3 patients in total. One patient to transfer out to the medical ward. Whereby one patient to have a CT Scan (Computerized Tomography Scan) to RIPASH as the CT scan machine in SSBH is still under maintenance. So we have to prepare the transport system (ambulance), the sending off forms, the items that are required in case of emergency such as the Automated External Defibrillators (AED), the oxygen tank. The patient is ready sitting on the wheelchair. Then we went to the ground floor as the ambulance was awaiting us. After sending off the patient, we went back to the unit and we had a long briefing on the drugs names and its indication with the Sister. Clinical Placement

Day 1 : 16 th May 2016 Today is the first day of our 7 th rotation of Clinical Placement. So this rotation, I was assigned in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Suri Seri Begawan Hospital (SSBH) in Belait District. There are four of us assigned in this unit. I was a bit nervous because this is the first time we were located in different hospitals among our colleagues. Some at Tutong Hospital, Renal Centre in Kiaraong and Rimba, and others are at RIPAS Hospital. The staffs are very welcoming us in the unit and do a short briefing/orientation around the unit itself. Then we were called by the Matron and Sisters to meet them for the first time. They gave us briefing and a short welcoming speech. Then we had a 'hospital-round' to familiarize with the hospital setting or layout. We even went to the Medical and Surgical wards as well as the Obstretic and Gynaecology ward.
